Basic Piedmont character. Medium ruby color. Modest nose of red berries and dried roses. Medium-bodied with somewhat austere tannins and high acidity. The palate shows simple cherry and tar notes but lacks depth. The finish is short and a bit harsh. Falls short of Nebbiolo’s usual elegance. [Wine Society Tasting Jan 2024]
