A decent Malbec.
Deep purple color. Good nose of blackberry, plum, violet and subtle spice. The palate shows moderate concentration with dark fruits, mocha and a touch of vanilla from oak aging. Medium-plus bodied with ripe tannins and balanced acidity. The finish shows adequate length with a pleasant warming quality. While not reaching the heights of either producer’s flagship offerings, it delivers honest Mendoza character with good balance between fruit and structure.
