Deep ruby. The nose is refined yet expressive with blackcurrant, plum, and violets alongside subtle pencil shavings and cedar. Medium to full-bodied with the silky texture. The tannins are beautifully ripe and polished, providing structure without aggression. Excellent balance between fruit, acidity, and oak. The finish is long and harmonious. While technically the “second wine,” this demonstrates the exceptional quality of Palmer in the outstanding 2019 vintage.
