Alexis Lichine
Chevalier Malbec
EasyJet’s airborne quaffer. Medium ruby color. Simple but pleasant nose of basic dark and red fruits. Medium-bodied and unassuming on the palate, with soft tannins and moderate acidity. Flavors of plum, red cherry, and a touch of blackberry dominate, lacking typical Malbec depth. Short, unremarkable finish. Inoffensive and easy to drink, but far from a typical Malbec’s character. A serviceable in-flight option that won’t challenge the palate or compete with airplane food.
